Niels Nilsson, D.C., M.D., Ph.D.

Disparity Between Clinical Observation and Clinical Trials

Associate Professor and Director of Studies at the Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark. He also serves as an expert advisor on chiropractic to the National Board of Health in Denmark. Dr. Nilsson has published many important and influential studies on the efficacy of chiropractic and, as a result, was FCER's Researcher of the Year in 2000.

Dr. Bisby is Vice President (Research Portfolio) of the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR), Canada's equivalent to the U.S. Institutes of Health (NIH)

Cochrane Collaboration - Knowledge translation, evidence-based health care and the role of the Cochrane Collaboration.

Dr. Ohlsson is Professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, and the Director of the Cochrane Collaboration.

Research in Chiropractic - The impact of the CIHR-CCA Chair of Chiropractic Research on the evolution of chiropractic research in Canada.

Dr. Kawchuk is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. He currently holds the CIHR-CCA Chair of Chiropractic Research, the first full-time university position devoted to chiropractic research in Canada.
