THE WEEK IN
CHIROPRACTIC'S RESEARCH ABSTRACTS INDEX NOW ONLINE
The Week in Chiropractic (TWIC),
the popular e-mail newsweekly published by the Foundation for
Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER), now offers an index of
the research abstracts it publishes weekly. The Week in
Chiropractic Index of Research Review is now online as part of
the FCER Learning Center, available at
www.fcer.org. The research abstracts that have been published
since the newsweekly was launched on January 2, 2007 may be searched
by publication date or by category.
The online newsweekly, published each Tuesday, is available free
online to all who request it. The index categories include topics
such as Cervical Neck Pain, Chronic Pain, Cost Effectiveness,
Musculoskeletal, Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Practice Issues. In
total, abstracts may be searched in 34 categories.
The Week in Chiropractic includes timely and relevant
research abstracts as well as news items of interest to chiropractic
clinicians. The publication enjoys a wide international readership.
To subscribe, go online at
www.fcer.org.
“With this index, our readers now have easy access to the abstracts
of major research findings, which will help in their practices,”
TWIC Editor Robin Merrifield, said. “The index, which will be
updated weekly, gives the practitioner the ability to easily find
the information most relevant to his or her practice situation,” she
added.
The online FCER Learning Center includes cost-efficient practitioner
educational opportunities such as teleconferences, online seminars,
workshops on CD and more.
FCER is the chiropractic profession’s oldest not-for-[profit
foundation, serving the profession since 1944. FCER, based in
Norwalk, Iowa, has as its mission to “Translate Research into
Practice” by granting funds for research and producing practitioner
and patient education materials including teleconferences, CDs,
books and pamphlets. FCER is developing the profession’s only
Evidence-Based Chiropractic Resource Center.
